That's weird Julie, although I once got that message when I was buying something online and it had actually gone through so check your bank statement!

Thanks Coz! xxxxx Glad it worked for you :) I find these things SO frustrating and confusing - always makes me cross when it doesnt work first time! ..... Computer technology fear is one of the reasons why i dont sell on ebay yet - im STILL trying to pluck up enough courage to, but im scared it might all go wrong and not knowing what to do! There's still no reply to my fundraising query email so helpline maybe dont work weekends so i will check again tomorrow pm after work Thank u all ~ Love Liz xxxxx

Hi everyone, I have heard from virgin moneygiving who say donations should go through without any problems. But they have advised to check if donors having problems had received an error message and if so, what it said. Also just to make sure not to enter an issue date and leave NO spaces when entering the card number. Hope this is helpful... but please let me know if any problems, thank you all xxxxx

Hi Liz Just wanted to say well done on all your fundraising efforts and hope you continue to get lots of support. If you want us to send you some sponsor forms do email me and I will get some in the post to you (tracey@nras.org.uk). We are really grateful and do let us know if there is anything else we can do to help. Tracey

Aww thanks Tracey but we already have some forms on the go, i think it was Val who sent them a while ago now, its a tricky time for fundraising after Christmas but have several sponsors signed up on paper and further promises from peeps who have either been busy paying off Christmas and / or are now thinking of paying for holidays! Please give out my link to everyone you can, training is going really well - and slowly but surely we will get there! Just a reminder for anyone reading, you can sponsor me and my lovely daughter, Sophie via http://www.virginmoneygiving.com/LIZBUCKLEY
I'm pretty sure this will be a one off event for me in honour of my 40th birthday...... but you never know, Sophie may develop a 10K addiction or maybe even have her sights on a full marathon in years to come..... .....BUT please everyone do NOT miss out on this very unique and one time opportunity to sponsor me ;), Thank you All! Lots of love from Liz xxxxx and Sophie!!!!! xxxxx

Hi Liz,
Sorry to hear you have had so many problems in the past with your online sponsorship. If it hasn't been resolved do let me know and I will get in touch with them on your behalf and try to sort it out.
Hope training is going well for you both.
Val

Lizzie I will sponsor you too. Just wondering how to get you more sponsors and more money. Can NRAS put you on their website for example or do they have a few people doing the run. I know some charities are all geared up for this, my husband was running for one until the practice started off his sciatica and he couldnt run. Have you spoken to anyone in the charity part of NRAS? What about the company that makes our drugs? Surely they would sponsor you.
regards

ooo, thank YOU!!!! NRAS have been really helpful - we already have our t shirts to wear on race day and sponsor forms plus a couple of mentions already on NRAS facebook site. I think NRAS would send out sponsor forms to anyone who might like to help raise more sponsors. Sophie and I are planning some posters this week but will go to NRAS first to check if they have any templates. Helly has been VERY helpful and inspiring, and has added to our current ideas of how to get more sponsors - Helly suggested involving local MP so we are planning to talk to him soon and hope to get some good sponsors this way. I've got several friends who will put up forms and collect sponsors and we are planning to time this with newspaper coverage and beyond. My doctor wants to sponsor me, she has given lots of encouragement, check ups and good advice including reminding - don't forget sun tan lotion and a hat or visor! She knows me really well & knows I will be sensible and she's going to put up a poster at the surgery as soon as we have them done. In time, we are going to speak to local papers, local radio advert and via facebook - I'm waiting for around Mother's Day to go for optimum coverage with link to mother and daughter story and hope to get good coverage this way, with a couple of reminders nearer the time. I have recently learnt that our local vicar likes running so will have to see if i can get him on board too for sponsors, he has three churches in the area and apparently is now known as the "Running Rev", he is quite often on the run when the kids go by on the school bus! I have several people geared up to sponsor via forms rather than via technology and i have sponsor forms i could send if anyone would like some - you can contact me via facebook, look for Liz Buckley (black & white baby pic) - u will find me thru' NRAS pages, Thank you again! Any more ideas from anyone, please let us know! xxxxx
